Privacy Policy

Chinese Sprint is currently a private beta. This policy describes the web service we are preparing. The business identity and support contact will be completed before public registration opens.

What we collect

If you create an account, we collect your email address, an irreversible password hash, session and security information such as IP address and browser identifier, and the study progress you choose to synchronize. We do not receive or store your plaintext password.

When paid plans become available, our payment provider will process card details. Chinese Sprint will retain provider customer, subscription, status, and transaction references—not full card numbers.

How we use information

• Provide accounts, synchronization, study limits, and customer support.
• Protect the service from abuse and investigate security incidents.
• Maintain subscriptions and comply with accounting or legal obligations.
• Improve reliability using aggregate operational measurements.

Local learning data

The app remains local-first. Cards, handwriting, lessons, and study history stay in your browser until you sign in and enable synchronization. A signed-in browser sends a versioned backup to our server so another device can restore it.

Cookies

We use an essential, secure session cookie to keep you signed in. It is HTTP-only and unavailable to page scripts. We do not currently use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Storage and retention

Account data is stored on infrastructure operated for Chinese Sprint in Europe. Active account and synchronized data remain until deletion. Expired sessions and operational security logs are removed on a rolling schedule, except when longer retention is required to investigate abuse or satisfy law.

Your choices

You can download a local backup at any time. Account deletion removes the account, cloud snapshot, and associated sessions. Local browser data remains under your control and can be cleared through the app or browser.

Children

Chinese Sprint is not directed to children under 16 during the private beta. We will add any age-appropriate consent process required before offering accounts to younger learners.
